Default Hi all! (Ciao a tutti!)

Ciao,

My name is Giuseppe and I'm a GB from Italy. I was diagnosed type 1 when I was 8 (now 34).

I've had a very good diabetes management until I was under my parents wings (so parents of newly diagnosed: don't panic! You are the best treatment for your babies, after physical activity and awareness).

After I began to work as a Software Developer it turned out a little uncontrollable (too much computer, became a little too much sedentary)

I stumbled up GB after looking for an iphone app for diabetes management (Ah, I've some ideas, to whom it may concern...)

I love windsurfing, mountainbiking and eating (the italian way...).

I hope GB can help me keep track of my logs (which was the most hated part of being diabetic...)

Ciao!
Giuseppe

Giuseppe;

Welcome to the Forum!

It seems that everyone hates logging, especially with pen and log books, I know that I did. Good luck with your control and management.

Thanks dano!

I wish I could integrate more informations on your app/webapp.

For istance:

I have an Accu-Check Compat Plus and the IR-Reader (which is an IR-reader and an usb memory device, Accu-Chek Smart Pix). The usb memory devices logs everything into an xml file: would it be feasable to have a serverside script to read this file and have all the logs converted? I offer myself to develop it.

And also: there are a bunch of nutrition databases out there: would be superlative to have them integrated in the app!

Let me know what do you all think,
Giuseppe

Giuseppe;

The GB App is in the growing stage, as I am sure that you are aware. There are several different directions for it to go. Your question would probably be best answered by one of the powers that be. I am sure that Tom (user-name = admin) or Jeff (user name = jan) could answer your questions.

Ciao Giuseppe,
I just downloaded my iPhone app today. Hoping this will encourage me to take this T2 diabetes more seriously.
Ciao,
Stacy
