This is what I've been looking for!
Hi, I'm Susan, a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic, just turned 62 yrs old today. Diabetes runs in our family, so I was expecting this.
I love the Glucose Buddy app! It has all the essentials (except I don't get this measuring food in grams-- shouldn't there be some other options?) and is easy to use. Plus, I always have it with me--no pen required. Thanks, GB, for making it available. |

Susan;
Welcome to the Forum! Many of us measure "carbs", which grams just happens to be the unit of measure. One piece of whole wheat bread equals 13 carb grams, for example. This is what we use to calculate our insulin dosage. Take a look at the Carb Counting 101 thread in the T2 section if you get a chance.

Dear Susan,
I am with you. Grams confuses me. Thanks for the 101 link Dano! I love that I can use it on a mobile app as well as online! I don't have access to wireless during the day at work, so I will be able to add information on my work computer and keep it all together. Welcome aboard! |

Kijt;
One thing I wanted to mention concerning your post: "I love that I can use it on a mobile app as well as on-line! I don't have access to wireless during the day at work, so I will be able to add information on my work computer and keep it all together." Even though you don't have wireless wifi at work, you would be better off to input your data using the hand-held mobile app and hold the information in que until you have access to wifi. The App was designed for mobile use, if you input info, to the website, you will not be able to get it back to the device as currently there is no two-way sync. However, this is expected in the next GB release 3.6.
