Default Feel high when sugars are normal?

Hi guys.

Does anyone else feel like their sugars are really high, but test and they are normal? I understand this can happen on the inverse: when you have had high sugars for ages and feel low when you are in the target range, but what about feeling high when normal? Full on high feelings: Tired, can't concentrate, yell at cat, etc... horrible - can't study - zombie.

It happens after eating, within an hour, and lasts one to two hours. eg. test about an hour after eating (while feeling high) and it's between 7 - 10 (~138-180), but I feel in the 20s (>360). I know blood sugars peak after a meal and naturally come back down, but they aren't even that high. I don't get it.

The meals aren't anything special, and haven't noticed it happening after a particular meal/food. Not carb/sugar intensive either - I eat really well, drink heaps of water, exercise everyday - what a star!

Any ideas?

Andy;

I have had the symptoms, that you mentioned a few times, but I can't say that it happens often. Have you changed type of insulin? Is anything out of the ordinary? Stressed out, maybe?

Hey Danny,

Insulin type has been the same for ages, bit stressed, but that's normal too! I have changed my insulin to carb ratio, but I have had symptoms since long before that. Perhaps not diabetes related? Just thought I'd put it out there.

You might be on to something there. If it does not get better soon, I think I would run it by the doctor and the endo. I hope it gets better soon, good luck.
