Try eating heavy during breakfast. Convert your usual lunch to late breakfast. 1 cup of brown rice, steamed fish or roast beef and veggies for the side dish. During night time, just have a very light meal like 1-2 slices of toasted bread and butter and fruits.

Default What do you eat for breakfast?

For breakfast, I normally have a cup of coffee and a sandwich. But, for a change, I tried steaming an Asado Siopao for my breakfast today.

The only thing that has worked for me has been protein shakes to start the day. They aren't too heavy, I feel like I'm having a nice treat, and I can keep my BG in the 80 to 90 range all day. I use a whey isolate protein powder (1 scoop), a frozen banana, 1 cup of almond milk, 1 cup of egg whites (from a carton) and I throw all of that in the blender and blend it up! I like to add a tablespoon of peanut butter, too. I drink have of the shake as I get ready for the day, and I take sips of the other have throughout the morning to keep me in good shape and good numbers until lunchtime!

Default Breakfast

I love a nice bowl of cereal with cold milk in the morning and prefer cereal high in fiber. Sometimes I will have slice of toast. Currently experimenting with a regular jam and sugar free jam for toast. Also experimenting with gluten free cereal to learn how it affects my sugars. Loving the taste and BG readings, but it is not surprisingly low in fiber. My choice of drink is unsweetened tea with lemon.
