Default gestational diabetes

How many of you had gestational diabetes during your pregnancy? I had this during my last term on my 2nd baby. It was controlled however. Now, this is my 3rd and last pregnancy and I am kinda worried about having gestational diabetes again. My feet and ankles are swelling and they said that one possible reason is I have excessive amniotic fluid. And I also read from one article that this is a sign of GD too. Any idea? Thanks.

I don't know about the excessive amount of amniotic fluid causing gestational diabetes. But you can condition yourself to prevent your blood sugar to rise during pregnancy. You should eat healthy foods like those high in fiber and low in fat and calories. Be active, there are pregnancy exercises that can help help you from developing gestational diabetes.
