Default Just Diagnosed with T2

What a roller coaster! My physician sent me home with a new DX of T2 and RX for Metformin. No education on side effects or how / when to test. Life changed in minutes. Sugar highs and lows, dizziness , anxiety. Only advice given is the body takes time to adjust. Told to double Metformin after second day of DX and feel I can't tolerate it. No appetite, severe nausea starting at about 5:00 am. A1C is at 8. Feeling helpless and not sure if anything I am doing is making things worse. Just miserable

Welcome to the Forum!

Most of us have been where you are. The doctor should have given you a little more information or at least set you up with a diabetes educator.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
