Default Pre diabetic 😩

Hello
I'm new to diabetes and this site and I'm looking for help!
Back in May 2015 my doc said I'm pre diabetic (ac1 5:7) I was shocked because in January I was 5:5...and diabetes never crossed my mind. I am 5"5 And At that time was around 147/150...been 80%healthy eater(juicing/seldom red meat, no dairy)
When doc told me about this in May, I went full force with eating salads/chicken/ no carb/no sweets/...power walking 2 to 3 miles daily...lost weight (15 pounds) repeated test in August and it still came back at 5:7...I'm very dissapointed after that I just walk 30 minutes every other day, I have lost more weight..I don't want to continue to lose weight, I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I still eat healthy, I don't drink or smoke..I do worry and panic a lot because I don't know how to do this. I feel lost and very overwhelmed
I want to gain my weight back, be at 143/145...my clothes fall off..I need guidance on what to eat, how to relax more and not worry. I do check my glucose daily and it worries me that my numbers are increasing! I'm at a loss! Thank you for your time. I'm not on any meds for diabetes as hey say I'm pre. Thank you and God bless :

Welcome to the Forum!

You may be doing nothing wrong. Diabetes can also be a genetic thing. Be aware that stress will drive your blood glucose level up.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

You may try finding a diabetes support group in your area. Sometimes these can be a big plus in helping you get on the right track.
