Default doubts about exercise

Hello everyone
I'm newly diagnosed. I had always done exercise. I'm 26 years old. I just got metformin as a treatment.
Does anyone here do extreme exercise? I've been doing crossfit for 8 months before my DM2 diagnosis. Is it okey if I still do it?
This exercise is intense, not like insanity, but it's gymnastic, weightlifter and it's also cardio.
Is it okey if I continue doing intense exercise?

I don't see why you would not be able to continue doing the exercises that you have done in the past. Just bare in mind that intense exercise may have a negative affect on your bloods sugar. With that being said, as long as you keep snacks close by, just in case you need them, you should be fine. I would suggest that the first few times you try this, that you test your blood sugar periodically and build baseline data for you exercise routine.

Read though the "Exercise will it work for you" thread. There are several posts about people doing high intensity exercise routines.

Yes, if you consult your doctor and it's okay your exercising should do nothing but have positive results.

I was a state champion mountain biker and road racer. Exercise is great! I was putting in 500 miles a week when racing, stick to it. It is a great way to let go of stress too. Good luck!
