What is your blood sugar reading during these leg cramps? I would assume it to be very high and if so that is usually the norm. From personal experience, these are the worst cramps that I have every had and basically nothing will ease the pain. The only thing that will help is to get your blood sugar average down to a more normal level. Shoot for a blood sugar average of less than 140 mg/dl.
If your blood sugar was not high at the time of the leg cramps, it can be a sign of dehydration. The fix is to make sure that you stay well hydrated and eat a banana.
