a thought about how to organize logs
hey guys,
looks like the forum is still pretty new, but i thought i'd share a thought about how the logs might be organized more intuitively, and see if others agreed or had any other ideas matt might be interested in. i love the glucose buddy app, but one of the things i'm not crazy about is the way the logs read when you're reviewing recent activity. i think the reason i struggle with it is that i think of many of the actions i take (food, insulin, glucose readings, etc) as related - not as separate actions. but when i look at the logs, its hard to tell which actions are linked without looking at the date and time stamp. its not a huge deal, but it would be great if you could create subgroups of the actions... maybe you could shade log entries with a color if you wanted to link actions? sounds like matt has some really nice improvements coming soon, as well - if you have any other thoughts please share! |

I'd like to be able to filter my logs by food, meds or BG on both my iPhone and the web page.

I agree with both the above points. ( I guess in the forum, the below points ) The only thing lacking for me with the GB platform, both online and in-phone, is the lack of being able to sort data in a meaningful way.
With all that Matt and partner are doing in continually upgrading the GB platform I'd be interested to know what the roadmap looks like for increased functionality with data sorting and aggregating along the lines mentioned above? Is there a roadmap? That being said, keep up all the great work in developing this kick a%$ free platform Matt! Thanks for all your hard work. Best, Josh

Oh, I'm just the pretty face that you all see. The people behind me are the real heroes!
We'll be giving you some sorting tools for the Web shortly. A number of things in the pipeline and project management is always of the utmost importance for us. Keep the feedback coming and thanks for helping us beta test.

I think log sorting/exportation is so important for some, yet hasn't been a full main feature of GB online, that perhaps some input from us might be valuable in getting some features that would really be helpful coded in? For ex.: There are certain ways CDEs and DRs. like to look at log numbers for their formula calculations. Were you aware of this? Do you guys know what you're going to do yet? Would you like our input as to what kind of log sorting/exportation we'd find most useful? Are you limited by what the code can actually do? Let me know Matt, I'd love to give my input if it would help. Yet, don't want to be one of the demanding/bitchy users either. At the end of the day, GB is of great value as is!!!! Best, Josh ( you've got my contact info from emails twitter and FB, "that Josh" )

We're going to allow you to view different types of logs in a more organized way. For instance, you'll be able to see a list of just Glucose and Medications.
Pretty simple, we know, it's just important for us to have a strong outline of what comes later down the road before we implement anything now.
