Default new diagnosed

I have been diagnosed with Type 1 recently after a back surgery. There is no diabetes in the family. I started with 40 mmol/l, and am having trouble getting my levels regulated. Forgot to mention I am 50! What can I do?

Welcome to the Forum!

Learn to count carbs and have your doctor teach you how to bolus for the carbs. There are several thread in the T1 section concerning this. Also eating fewer carbs and exercise will help. Good luck with your control and management.
