Hey, I'm a sophomore too, and I've had it since I was 8. It will be hard at first and some people will not understand, because everyone that doesn't have experience thinks a pill is all diabetes takes. Unfortunately us type 1's are only 5% of the diabetic population and it takes much more for us. I would recommend seeking advice from a medical or emotional counselor. Your endo will probably be able to give you some resources as well. I honestly wish you the best

I was diagnosed my freshmen year of high school and am now a junior and still battling so I can help you

I'm 14 and a freshman in high school. I was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, last week actually. It's been tough, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm not looking forward to going back to school though. Since we are on Christmas/New Year break at the moment, I haven't been back since I've been diagnosed.
