Default Hi All

So, after many many years with type 1 diabetes and really not looking after myself, my endocrinologist got quite mad at me so I've finally decided to start doing something about it.
I was diagnosed at 3 years of age, I'm now 31 so 28 years with this disease.
It's so easy to stop caring about your diabetes and take an "I'll be fine" approach but it's taken it's toll. I have retinopathy, slightly elevated BP and my last a1c was 9.4 which was great for me as the previous one was 10.8.
Anyway, here I am to get this thing back under control as now I have 2 little ones and want to be there for them in the future.

Cheers

Welcome to the Forum!

I am glad that you have decided to take the Diabetes "Bull By The Horns". Your body will thank you down the road and so will your family. Good luck with your control and management.
