Default CaveMan Diet

I don't know if this is posted anywhere else, I am sure I can't be the only person who discovered this.... I was diagnosed Type 2 in January. This is how I dropped 50 lbs and got my A1C to 5%. My average b/g test were 240+, now they are around 85 to 95! The great thing is that I am not stressing over food at all. One thing to note, I am no different from anyone else, when I found out that I was diabetic I pretty much freaked. The doctors and dietitians could only help so much, because they didn't have diabetes!! Remember when the doctor fist poked your finger with a needle... remember how much that hurt, well they only know what the book teaches them, they don't have to poke themselves three times a day, they don't know that it hurts less if you poke on the side of your finger vs. straight in the middle. So I really did my research, and found out that a lot of these help-sites and diabetic resources are written by non-diabetics and/or For-Profit organizations.... I found that many of these diabetic recipes only increased my sugar! That is when I realized that being a healthy diabetic is really a LIFESTYLE, not something that you practice sometime.... you have to live it 24/7!
That is when I discovered the CaveMan Diet.... it is so simply... eat like a caveman... and no one else! Think about how a caveman lived, what he ate... Caveman did not have ANY processed foods in his diet, (there weren't any) ... if it could not be eaten from the end of a stick, cooked in a fire, or picked off a bush/tree then it was not eaten. Just think about what a caveman had access to... there were no breads... yeah I said it... BREADS... because caveman did not make flour.... In my next post I will tell you just how to create a lifestyle for yourself that will make you wonder why everyone doesn't live this way...

Caveman diet is fine, but its been done. The reality is that Most people are either sick of it after a few weeks, can't afford it or get sick by it. By all means reduce your carbs to better levels, but you want to make a lifetime change, not eliminate the joy of food choice in your life.
