Default Hello From Michigan

Hello! I have type 2 diabetes (diagnosed in November 2002). Currently taking Januvia and Metformin. Last Ha1c 6.8 (5/13/10). Better (also worse) than I have seen it in past (7.6, also 6.4). I look forward to "meeting all of you. All the best!

Hannah54;

Welcome to the Forum!

It is good to see an experienced T2 on the board. I hope others can learn from your trials and errors. Good luck with getting that A1c where you want it to be.

Greetings Hannah,
What are you doing to get your numbers down? Any insight would be helpful. I hit a rough patch about 10 days ago- stress at work- so I went back to writing down everything I eat and testing many more times in the day, and increased the exercise-back on track and have actually lost 1-2lbs, on insulin, so I'm excited about that.

I find that smaller meals and salads (greek, caesar, with protein, with fruit) help me. Exercise helps when I can do it (I have been very anemic, vitamin d3 deficient, and managed to injure a leg recently, so I have not been getting enough exercise) - but I am sure that exercise and weight loss WILL do eonders! Congrats on your weight loss, exercise, and monitoring successes! Keep me posted!
