Hello Everyone!
Hello, I am new to the site and the app. Was looking for an app to start recording my BG and getting into the habit of actually checking my blood sugars everyday. I've been a diabetic for about 4 years now, and a pretty bad one at that. Figured it was time to buckle down and handle this, so been on a pretty strict diet and trying to get some exercise between school and work hoping to get this thing under control!

Welcome to the Forum!
Congratulations on taking the diabetes beast head-on! You didn't mention whether you are T1 or T2, but read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

I was diagnosed T2 last year. The very thought of being diabetic terrified me. When I graduated from nursing school in mid 1980's, the prevailing thought was all diabetics get complications- just a matter of when they occur. Fast forward 30 years and my doctor tells me that isn't true. Now with tighter controls of blood sugars mean healthier lives for us. I read everything I could get my hands on and I've found a plan that works for me. Be proactive and you'll feel better about your health
