Default weight loss

I'm 5'11 and have lost 30 lbs. I've been at 200 for 3 months. I would like to she'd 10-12 more. I walk 15 minutes after lunch & bike 30 minute in the evening. I'm a serious carb counter. Any suggestions? Thanks Whitney (male)

Whitney;

Congratulations on the on the 30 lbs weight loss. While the exercise and carb counting usually works, sometimes it just isn't enough to get you where you want to be. There are a couple of things that you can do. The first is to cut your cabs per day back a little more and the second is to implement more exercise into you routine. You may wish to do a little research on glycemic index (GI), as some of the carbs that you may be allowing may not be beneficial to the results that you seek. Quote from the supplied link, for example: "Apples have a GI of 38 (as shown in the table above), and a medium-size apple, weighing 138 grams, contains 16 grams of net carbohydrates and provides a Glycemic Load of 6. This is a low GL, and most would consider the apple to be a very appropriate snack. But now look at peanuts. A 4-oz serving not only weighs less than the apple, but has a much lower GI (14), and provides an even lower GL of 2. Based on Glycemic Load alone, you would have to believe that the peanuts were a better dietary choice than the apple. But if you take a look at the Calories contained in these two foods, you'll see that the apple contains approximately 72 Calories, while the peanuts contain more than 500! Those 400+ extra Calories are NOT going to help you lose weight."

Good luck with the additional 10-12 lbs weight loss.
