The Cantina Bowl would be hard for any person, especially those with diabetes, to eat at 64 carbs per serving.

Figured it out the other day, my (prior to ty-2 Dia) favorite meal from McD was a quarter pounder with cheese (40 carb, 520 cal, 26 f), large fry (63 c, 500 cal, 25 f), 2 apple pies (64 c, 500 cal, 26 f) and a large coke (86 c, 310 cal, 0 fat)...for a grand total of:
253 carbs 1830 calories 77 fat Fortunately, I've changed my dining lifestyle with the help of my wife, now my A1C is 7.0 as of yesterday (previously it was 11.5% in Feb 2013). It's amazing how bad some foods are for you...keep up the good work you guys! Clint. |

it's not just the carbs either, it's the super high fat content. fat desensitizes your body to insulin - something you already have issues with as a T2.

Well, Taco Bell is actually great food. Too bad they're not good for us. My nephews love eating this kind of foods and honestly, sometimes I'm tempted to eat those tacos. They're delicious but my health is more precious for me. Speaking of Taco Bell, I'm not sure if you're well-aware but they happen to be of the causes as to why many people have jobs today. One of the terms that gets flung around, particularly during presidential campaign seasons, is “job makers.” A ton of things can be job creators, evidently even tacos as Taco Bell's Doritos Locos tacos supposedly added 15,000 careers to Taco Bell's payrolls.
