Carbs per day is a function of calories per day; Have you tried calculating the carbs per day that you need?
This is my method for weight loss.

I've found the greatest success in limiting carbs and calories. Currently I'm following weight watchers and trying to focus on more "natural carbs" - like fruits and veggies than processed junk. Counting the points helps me limit my calories too.
I've lost 5 pounds in as many weeks, which is a good rate of weight loss. Of course I'd like it to be more but as someone with diabetes, it just takes a little longer for our special selves. ![]() |

good ol' diet and exercise - there's really no easy fix or way to get around it. you need to be patient - it didn't take you weeks or months to become overweight, it probably was a gradual thing that took years.
if you're REALLY having problems even with diet and exercise, I would suggest asking your Dr to test you for hypothyroidism since Hashimoto's and T1 is pretty common. good luck! |

Being diabetic is all about counting carbs. But the real trick is eating the right carbs. If you can have 30 carbs at breakfast but choose toast over fruit, you could probably fine tune that a little better-even though toast with eggs is still a manageable carb amount. I've found through constant diet and weight struggle it's not the quantity of carbs it's the kind of carbs I eat.
Hope this helps! |

I'm not sure just how overweight you are, but nobody wants to jog on a treadmill. Start out small, start with power-walking or speed-walking, pump your arms, set small goals, but ones that can be achieved.
Maybe set a goal of walking 4x a week and expand it from there. if you don't like to workout alone, find a friend...or conversely, some people enjoy working out alone, either way, do what works for you. Good luck...you are not alone, my friend...Clint. |
