Smile Hello from the northeast

This is my first post. I am a type 2 on metphormin and insulin. I have gotten my A1C from over 13 to 6.6 in one year thru diet, exercise and meds. It is not easy, but I have found it is a daily fight with this disease and you can never let your guard down. Once you commit, to yourself, as I have this past year, you realize that you have a choice if what you put in your body and you can control it. I do not think I will ever be able to get off the meds, but that's okay. My quality of live is fantastic. I have no problem giving myself insulin before dinner where ever I am, movie theater, fancy restaurant, sporting event etc.

So, although I am new to this forum, I found it interesting radi g some of the postings and just want to say, become as educated as you can about this disease and know that thru hard work and dedication, your numbers will come down and you will feel better.
