Hi,

My name is Sam and I was diagnosed for the first time last week.
I am now on Metformin and low carb per my doctor and adjusting to
the new way of doing things. My morning fasting levels have gone down
about 55 points so far but still have a way to go. I know this is going to sound funny but I think my diagnosis was just the kick in the seat that I needed to
get me to better take care of myself and I feel that this is actually going to
work out helping me in the long run.

Sam;

Welcome to the Forum!

Living with Diabetes is a healthy lifestyle change and is the lifestyle that we should have been following all along. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. Good luck with your control and management.
