Default Metformin Side Effects

I was justed switch to Metformin ER due to the horrible side effect of diarrhea. Well I've been on it now only a couple of days but there's no change. Are any of you on any pill form that does not give you this side effect?

My doctor put me on glumetza. The co pay is 100 bucks. But it doesn't upset my stomach like metformin. It does have metformin in it though.

I took metformin for several years. Diarrhea problem just got worse and worse. Started taking a probiotic, which helped a little, but still had problems. Doctor moved me from metformin to victoza a week ago. No diarrhea problem anymore. Hope victoza works....costs me a lot more.
