Default esophagus

I am a 57 year old male who has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. I inject 56 units of insulin before breakfast and 40 before dinner. From time to time I get a very sharp pain in my chest. My doctor said this is in my esophagus. Does anyone else have this issue and what, if anything, have you done for it.

You probably should elaborate just a little on the insulin that you are injecting. I will assume that you are injecting a long-lasting insulin such as Levemir and not a fast-acting insulin such as NovoLog, which would probably kill a horse in that dosage.

Have you, in the past, had problems with upper GI?
Where is your injection site when this occurs?
At which meal does this occur?

Also: Please revise your post in the Introduction Section, since we don't know if you are T1 or T2.

Is anyone having a problem posting? 9 times out of 10 I write something and when I hit "post" I get an error message saying my post was too short and would not be posted.

It sounds like you trying to post from the iPhone or iTouch? If so, the Forum Section on these units is not 100% yet. You may wish to read through some of the treads in the Glucose Buddy Specific (Questions/Support) Section.

Sounds to me like you need to see a good GI doctor before you go believing that. Too close to your heart to be messing around!
