Hello GB Friends!
My name is Sabrina, and I was diagnosed in October 2009 with type2. It has been a bit overwhelming. I went from a normal 33 year old without too much care about how and what I ate, to a pill popping (how many can a person take in a day), carb counting, slightly freaking out , diabetic.
I have mixed feelings about finding out early. On one hand now that I know I can keep it under control, but it would have been nice to have another 30 years of not counting carbs (I freaked out when I looked at the Cheesecake Factory Menu). Well, hopefully, with a little help from friends and the GB, this journey will be a little less bumpy. |

Hi Sabina;
Welcome to the Forum! We are all in this together. Hopefully we will all get through this with the help of our friends and our new GB friends.

Hey MDG!
Keep your head up....just realize that it's not that we can't eat stuff that we always have, we just have to take the portions down and also start being more active (exercise). You can do it! What were your numbers, if you don't mind me asking...
