There was a very interesting family on "super nanny" one show. They had a child, 9, with type1 and the parents were suffering more than the child and even near separation from stress. Mom was so devastated by boys condition and dad was trying to make boy eat right and it was chaotic. End result was, they trained up the boy on the condition and what was necessary to live. The boy did so much better by learning his minimums, the parents were eventually healed
I am diabetic, I know what you mean by a lt the spies and drops. Your son, is younger and will be better at dealing with it than you think. There is a Diabetic Nutrition class at almost all hospitals or major clinic organizations. Try them, too.
