fell off the wagon but I'm back.
After a nasty divorce I lost control of my diabetes, not caring about much I quit taking insulin but have started getting control of my bg. I have fear of lows and tend to over correct them, I have been reading post from others and it gives me comfort knowing that I'm not the only one with this disease. I am currently taking humalog and lantus but I'm having a hard time counting carbs and taking the right amount of insulin, any advice will help me take back control of my life. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum!
I am glad that you are back on the wagon, I am sure that your body is happy as well. Read through the Carb Counting 101 thread, in the Type 2 section, when you get a chance. There are some iPhone apps and websites that may help you, near the end. "I have fear of lows and tend to over correct them". To adjust lows try the 15-15 Rule. Over adjusting will put you on a roller coaster with your blood glucose levels. If you have questions, just ask. Good luck with your control and management.
