please help!
Hi. I'm 14 and have had diabetes since I was 8. My numbers have been out of control and I need advise and support.

I went through basically the same thing with my son, at your age. The Endo described it as puberty with diabetes. Meaning that the body is already messed up with hormones, during this time, and it only complicates the diabetes. We got through this and his control got better with age.
The only thing that I can tell you for sure is to test often, especially during this time in your life, and to concentrate on doing all that you can do to control your diabetes.

Exercise!! That is the key. The teen years can be tough because your hormones are going crazy. So, exercise daily. If you do not, you run the risk of becoming morbidly obese (475 pounds) by the time your 16. Exercise will help keep your BG down. Good luck to you and your family.
