Default Wow

My name is Brian R and I am 41 years old. Three days ago I was diagnosed with type 2. What a wake up call. It's been years since I've even had a physical and it was one hell of a shock to find out the state I was in.

I basically passed out at work and ended up going straight to the doctor that day. That day I was at 360! I basically did a physical with the doctor, blood work up, the whole shabang.

I just got my results, A1c 10.3, Cholesterol 751, Vitamin D deficiency, DAMN.

Time to wake up, new lifestyle begins right now!! I have a long road ahead, trying to turn this negative into a positive. GL everyone.

Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
