I'm new to all of this...
What number should a control strip reading be? |

The control solution is used each time a new test strip container is opened. Only a couple of drops are used each time when testing. The control solution will show if the new test strips will register within the control solutions test range.
Testing is done as if you were testing a drop of blood, but instead you are using a strip from the new container of test strips, and a drop of the control solution. The Control Solution is usually red and contains an amount of sugar. The blood meter will then show the solutions sugar count, which is then compared with the given range on the back of the new strip container. If the sugar number is within the range shown on the new container of strips, then a good reading will happen when you are testing your blood.
