Diagnosed with Type 1 and 2
Being just recently diagnosed with type 1 two and a half years ago I have only recently just been told that I also have type 2 as well. Wondering whether anyone has been diagnosed like this before. I never thought that it could get more complicated. I am only 23 years old and have been told that when I have children that there is a 4 percent chance of me giving them type 1 but a 80 percent chance of them ending up with type 2.
Getting back on to the topic of type 1 and 2 I would like to know that there are other people out there with this diagnosis. It has been really hard to get my sugar levels level. They are always either to low or above 8. Can anyone give me advice on this?????????????? |

I have never heard of this type of diagnosis, but anything is possible I suppose. I can see Type 1.5 maybe. Please read the information on either side of the enclosed T1.5 link. In the T1 information it mentions: "There seems to be little or no link between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes."
I would want a second opinion of this diagnosis! Just saying. If you are T1, insulin dependent, are you counting carbs and matching the carb intake with insulin?
