Default New to this site

I have had Type 2 diabetes for 16 years. Have controlled with oral mess & diet. Have battled weight issues due to side effects of needs. Recently changed to a new endo Dr. who added Byetta to meds and took me off of one of the drugs that caused the weight gain. At 1st checkup yesterday I have lost 4 lbs in 5 weeks & A1c dropped .2 points.... So far so good.....Pam in 'La. .

Keep it up Pam. It's worth all the hard work to stay under control. I became a "born again diabetic" back in August when I finally decided to stop fooling around with my health and confront diabetes head on. Since then I've lost 40+ pounds and my numbers are always below 100.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I have been dealing with this for 16 years and have ups & downs with the weight. Every time I start losing weight someone changes a med and here it comes back on. Hopefully the Byetta will help with that this time.

Thanks. Since I have been on the Byetta I have noticed my appetite had decreased and I don' find myself snacking between meals......a big plus for me...
