I like apples and peanut butter, blue diamond almond breeze milk on a cup of the new Total honey almond flax cold cereal. Or 1/2 cup great grains ( all flavors are yummy) watch the portion on those grate grains. Bare naked (like most of them) also I love the new to me Flaxmilk . I have to stay away from cow milk coz it gives me (cramps)gas also goats milk is lovely( raised on fresh goats milk) peanut butter smoothly get a basic favorite smoothly recipe and add the peanut butter instead of the other main ingredient. If I get tired of PB I have yogurt I have dannon lite because it's less sugar and salt. I like granola like bare naked About a helping table spoon and I like a little fruit with my yogurt. I get the large container and divy it up for the week. Because I like to add my on imagination I get vanilla flavor so I can add my own, it was hard to figure out a breakfast that was not eggs and bacon and grits, I love oatmeal and fix on the weekends with my grand children they love raisins and cinnamon with brown sugar , I use the Splenda kind. They love it with a little of the sugar free French vanilla cream on the oatmeal too. "International delight" just a little it's yummy.

Oh yes I forgot a good protein quick bar is the cliff bar that will stick with me, I eat at 6:00am and my break is at 9:00 .so if that helps , I like bagels and locks and peanut butter (cruchy only) smooth PB gags me :P , I have had to swap around to get a little change. I use to go with the same thing all the time like instant oatmeal or Cheerios (honey nut) couse I knew this was the thing that didn't spike my sugar but I found I can balance alittle veriety now and then.

Fruits are meant to be high in sugars specially tropical fruits but I've gone through a naturist fast in Mexico and surprisingly my sugar levels got completely stabilized with no medicine. The tip is to detox your body from animal toxins. Very little eggs and nearly no meet. Therefore nuts are good to combine specially with acid fruits. That is another thing. If you combine fruits they have to be either acid or sweet. For example: apple banana pear or grapefruit orange and pineapple with almonds or cashews. Fruits for breakfast and one fruit before every meal helps you to stabilize your glucose. Of course if you combine this with exercise you will notice an improvement. The naturists theory is that fruit sugars are need little insulin to be processed and have a lot of nourishing properties that help your body

So surprised at all these breakfasts. I rarely eat fruit because I am trying to keep bg level below 120 2 hour post-prandial. About twice a month I enjoy berries with breakfast.
Most mornings I have eggs with sausage or bacon, sometimes a small biscuit (10 carbs). I am Type 2. |

I too struggle with breakfast. I'm not really hungry that early in the morning. I really, really, really don't like eggs, nor do I care for most dry cereals. What I've finally found that works for me is an 6 oz carton of Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt (any flavor, but my favorites are vanilla, coconut, blueberry and raspberry), along with about a 1/3-1/2 c. berries, (again blueberry, raspberry or blackberries, or sliced or diced strawberries works really well too) and about a 1/4 c. granola. Our local grocery store has several bulk varieties that include nuts and sometimes raisins/craisins or dates. Its quick, which is important to me, and can be taken to work with me if I don't get time to eat before I have to leave. And its yummy, which is also important. I have trouble making myself eat things that I don't like the taste of.
I also keep a six-pack of Glucerna chocolate shakes in the fridge at work, just in case. They make a pretty good, quick breakfast, too. |

Greek Yogurt and nuts
I usually have 1 cup of Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons of nuts. Greek yogurt has fewer carbs 5-7 vs conventional yogurt 13-15. I add raisins or fresh fruit when I want to add carbs.

I have what's called shakeology it's glutin free and it's right in the carb amount you need it also has a good amount of carbs an I get it from http://www.shakeology.com/jwdiehl. That site has a ton of info on it and this would be your healthiest meal of the day.

I am not a big breakfast eater but I usually have two rice cakes with peanut butter, two reduced fat cheese sticks and small banana. I am full until lunch and after meal number is great. Now my nutritionist said that you don't have to eat breakfast foods for breakfast......
