I have diabetes for 52 yrs type 1,just had my toes amputated, I never tested my sugar and now I watch everything I do. its tough but I have no choice now everything is catching up.So it gets depressing when things don't go right , but this is the way we have to live I realize it now hope I'm not too late,Howard

Generally diabetes supplies are prescribed by a doctor and you pick them up at your local pharmacy. However, in an emergency situation, you can buy the insulin at a pharmacy without a prescription. You just need to prove that you have diabetes and that you need the insulin, but you won't be able to buy the syringes / needles without a prescription.

I am sorry to hear about your recent problems. Yes, diabetes is tough to stay on top of, but we all must do everything in our power to keep it under control. Good luck with your future control and management, test often. I wish you the best!

I've been a diabetic since I was4 and I hate it to, but the only way to live is inject itself and test ur blood glucose and honestly I only use the three middle fingers on my left hand and i don't feel it any more remember that there are worse diseases out there that u could have got in instead of diabetes
