Thanks Danny. You have motivated me. I do all the parking stuff already. I use a mini trampoline when I cant get out. Have been real lazy the last few years and gained 45 pounds. Now, I am diagnosed with diabetes and have to lose it. UGH!!!

This evening, my BG was 130 before dinner. After dinner, I jogged on my treadmill for 34 minutes and my BG went down to 102. I didn't give myself an insulin injection, but I did take a Metformin with my dinner.

Im confused
On 6/210 my AC1 was 6.1. After diet and LOTS of exercise I lost 38 lbs. Today my AC1 is 6.2. After walking/running for 5-7 days a week for 6 months I can say I feel great! However, I feel like I was slapped in the face by an AC1 of 6.2 (130 average). The strange part is my GB logs shows an 102.9 average. I guess the big question is, why does my daily testing show an average of 102.9 and the AC1 show 130? I mainly test before breakfast and 2 hours after dinner 4-5 times a week. I use two different meters, both give about the same results. Average: 102.9 Morning: 102.4 Afternoon: 100.0 Evening: 103.9 Night: 102.0 |

I know the feeling, according to my logs, the GB website A1c calculator and every other calculation known to exist my A1c should be 5.5%, but the lab has a much higher figure. It is a slap in the face when you are doing all you can do, currently I am blaming the lab.

Okay. So I am t2, diagnosed 17 yes ago, age 49. My bg averages between 140-180, and I am 60+ pounds overweight. I saw my doc a week ago, and my a1c was 6.9. Doc advised me to eat better and exercise for half an hour a day.
So I've been watching what I eat with basically no change in bg, weight, or how I feel. Today I exercised for half an hour, 10 mins elliptical and 20 mins recumbent bike. I feel great! And my bg was 93! (it was 187 this morning.) I'm usually so tired, and I hurt all over. I just want to feel better, and I know that if I can get my weight and blood sugar in check, I will. |

Way to go Colleen! You have a good start. The diet and exercise should help you loose the weight. You will note that even a drop in weight of 20 lbs will make a world of difference in your blood glucose level, as you strive to meet your goal of 60 lbs. Good luck and keep up the good work!

I walk 6km (1hr) most days either before or after work and 15-20mins on Eliptical trainer if not or as well together with low carb diet. Apart from improving my BG levels the improvement in wellbeing and zest for life is just great. Slackened off over Christmas and became sluggish and needed the dreaded afternoon nap but have been back on the exercise track for past 2 weeks and almost back to where I want to be. Found the BG improvement almost immediate but the wellbeing bit is gradual but worth it. Sensational even!
