Default BGs crazy variable

I got my Type 1 dx late last year, and am still trying to get basal and bolus MDI dosing straightened out. Recently my basal was lowered slightly (by just 1 unit) because I've been getting a drop overnight, but now I'm having trouble keeping my daytime BGs in line. Numbers are higher than I'd expect given the bolus coverage, and I'm often getting a significant *increase* between my 2-hr pp reading and a few hrs later before the next meal or bedtime. Is this likely a problem with basal insulin during the day, or is something else going on? Today after lunch and a moderate 40-min walk I was in the 90s; a few hours later BG was 170!

Any thoughts? Thanks!
Bobbie

Have you already been through the "Honeymoon Period"? My first thought was to mention that the "Honeymoon" is over. Good luck in getting this figured out. T1 is a work in progress.
