Hi Everyone,
Two months ago I was diagnosed as Type 2 with an average BG of 14.8 mmol/L. Since then, I've cut out all the sugar but still average around the same. Basically I struggle to get my BG under 10. Yesterday, I took 2000mg of sugarless vitamin C before going to bed. I woke up with a BG of 10.1 instead of the usual 12-14. On my way to work, I bought a huge tub of 500mg sugarless vitamin C tablets, put them on my desk, and took a couple every now and then. I reckon I may have consumed 7000-9000mg! When I got home, I checked my BG. It was 7.1!!!!!! Needless to say, I intend to pursue this research! Is there anyone else here who would like to invest in a tub of Vitamin C and join me? Let's share our findings! All the best, Ian |

Ian, please be careful of too much of a good thing, I could be wrong but chronic high dosing of Vit C supplements can eventually harm your kidneys. How have your sugars been?
