If I only have one device, do I still need to buy the 2 device integration if I want to sync from the web to my gb app?

Jonny: yes that is correct. what you are trying to do is part of the multi-device add-on.

To me, that's a design flaw. If I only have one device, why should I pay for a multiple device add-on for a feature that, by the nature of the the existence of a "Quick Sync" button should already be there? A sync is two-way by default, otherwise it's not a sync, but an update. The chicken way to fix that would be change the "Quick Sync" button to an "Update Server" button. This brings me to perhsps my core complaint: Why the heck is that feature so bloody expensive?$13? Really? That's twice as much as I've paid for the GB +upgrades. That's not an upgrade, that's punishment! If it were buck or two, I probably wouldn't have even bothered with this post and just bought it to compensate for a design flaw in the Calorie Track app that doesn't let you modify the date of the food entry, making the idea of putting in all your meals at once impossible. So, in a nutshell, I don't feel like I should have to pay anything, let alone $13, for a feature that is directly implied to already exist. I would hope that for your next release, you either update the robustness of the sync for one device or come way, way down on the price of the multi-device upgrade. Which will it be? |
