Newborns here. 12 year old son just diagnosed with T1 a week ago. Life is adjusting, he's taking it in stride. We ate out for the first time tonight. He did really well. We planned before we left so we weren't sitting at restaurant doing it. Super proud of my little guy.

Welcome to the Forum!

I have walked in your shoes. Get your son a good Endocrinologist. Find a good Diabetes Educator, Nutritionist and a Diabetes Support Group. Learn to count carbs and to bolus for this, basically this is pump technology without the pump.

Good luck. Get involved with your son's diabetes care.
