Default invokana (canagliflozin)

Has anyone had any experience taking this? My new endo put me on it 4 days ago even though I'm type 1 and I've had to cut my insulin almost in half. She told me to keep my insulin the same, but after a couple lows under 30, I cut way back. Now I'm having to figure out how much insulin to take again. Was wondering if this is normal.

Anecdotal reports show that patients will need to reduce/adjust insulin when adding canagliflozin. Cana is not indicated for type one diabetics in the US. Would recommend discussing this with your doctor

I have added invokana to my insulin regiment. So far I have decreased both my basal insulin and bolus insulin and have lost 3-5 pounds Also my post prandial numbers are very good.
