Default question - high & lows

My sugar readings have been lowering from over 400 a couple of months ago, then I've been on meds and my readings have been averaging 170 and tonight (no difference on meds or meals) it's 58..... Any ideas?

Welcome to the Forum!

It could be that you ate less carbs than usual or you exercised more than usual.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

58 is getting a touch low.....I might suggest a glass of OJ!! that is getting close to the " confusion state". When we get a PT that is in that area we give them oral glucose ( sugar paste). monitor it closely and if you continue to get numbers like that call your Dr.
