Default Should I get a second opinion

Back in July of 11 I had a physical. My A1c was a 6 and my fasting Glucose Level was 137. Dr said come back in two weeks after watching what I eat and drink. I did and my Fasting Glucose was 128. About three weeks ago I went for a check up with another Dr and my A1c is still 6 and my fasting glucose was 128. Dr informed me I had high levels of Protein in my Urine and wants to start me on Meds. In the mean time I am checking my Blood Sugar at home and all numbers are perfect. About 85 out of bed 110 after a meal & 85-90 at bed time. I am focusing on my a1c being 6. Something doesn't seem right to me. I am classified as type 2. Any Help? I should not, i only spike to my Dr over the phone and have not back up with her yet, because i am traveling.
