I was diagnosed with type 2 last week and my doctor gave me a number of 27.8. I did the conversion and got 500. Is there a universal standard that is preferred? Is 500 as bad as it sounds? I have no idea what to do, how to start or if anything will ever improve that number? I have an appt with a dietician tomorrow so I'm hoping they can answer a lot of the questions keeping me awake at night.
