Default Seeking Reassurance About Vision

I am newly (one week) diagnosed type 2, and my BG is responding to Glipizide Metaformin.

My initial symptom was a change in my eyeglass prescription, and since diagnosis my vision has been getting worse. I currently have four sets of over-the-counter readers from +1.00 - +2.00. In the past, I've been nearsighted and only recently needed any prescription for reading.

Everyone (including my eye doctor) tells me that the vision issue is normal and that I will return to "normal" after a few months (assuming, of course, that I keep my BG under control), and I know a week is a short period of time relatively, but this is scaring me.

Has anyone experienced this? How long did it take to return to normal?
