Default Hi! New to Forum

Hello everyone! My name is Erika and I was diagnosed with type two diabetes about a year and a half ago. I'm currently taking metformin and byetta and my Dr recently prescribed glimepiride, but I haven't started taking that yet. My readings are never good; averaging about 350 I'd say. Well, I have to have hip replacement surgery so I went for my pre-op appointment. A few days later the hospital called me to say I have to see my Dr because my A1C was 12.1%!!! And I have to bring it down before surgery. Today is 7/12 and my surgery is 7/21...does anyone know how they will be able to bring it down in 9 days??
Thank you!!
