I was diagnosed back in 2000 at the age of eight.. I'm 19 now. I was diagnosed a year after my little sister was diagnosed. We were conducting a panda study (blood test between family members of a diabetic to see their chances of becoming a diabetic) and my mom check my blood sugar which was 300 and something. We went for a walk/run came back checked it again and it was in the 400s so my mom called my sisters doctor and she told her to bring me in.
