HBa1c levels from Glucose Buddy
Hi,
I was due to have a pre-operative check at my local hospital today for a cataract operation on my eye. They refused to do it even though according to the Glucose Buddy Calculator my HBA1c was 5.6%. They said that it was only a calculation, and that HBa1c levels had to be obtained by doing a full blood test. My last blood test was done on 11 Jnauary 2011 and I cannot have another one until 12 March 2011 (3 months). My hospital will not perform any operations if the HBA1c level is higher than 9% and my last one was 10.4% Pete H
