Talking New to this forum but not new to diabetes

Hello everyone,

I am a 48 year old male (T1 since birth). Do not let anyone discourage you from living an action packed lifestyle. As long as you think positively and conduct your activities with a little common sense you can do/achieve anything !

After living with diabetes for 48 years my best advice can be summed into one word - TIMING - check often and stay ahead of your carb intake instead of chasing the high blood sugars.

Use technology - this iPhone app is a great way to log results & maintain good BG levels. Another iPhone app I use regulary is Restaurant Nutrition - makes it a lot easier to calculate how much insulin is needed when eating out at fast food places.

If anyone has any other apps or suggestions I would love to hear them. I'm always looking for better ways to maintain good control...
