Default Bullied because of diabetes

http://www.askdrbev.com/id21.html
I have never heard of something more disturbing than this. I was 19 when diagnosed so, as you would guess, my peers were more understanding. Does this actually happen?

Has anyone actually been bullied because of their diabetes?
