New Diabetic
Hello all, My name is Tommy, I am 49 yo and live in Decatur, Ga. I run an Ambulance service communications center and have been in the EMS business for 25 yrs.
I was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 weeks ago. It was a surprise as no one in my family has ever had it. I am dealing with it pretty well. I take 10 units of insulin nightly, metformin twice a day and have started watching what I eat. It seems to be working as my glucose levels are steadly declining. Anyway just wanted to say hey to everyone and look foward to learning more about controlling this monster.
