Default Thora

Hi. I was diagnosed with diabetes about 12 years ago. At the time, the endocrinologist did not understand why my sugar levels kept rising when I did not eat. While in hospital, I begged the nurse to give me more crackers to eat, so that my levels would stabilize. I was grateful for her cooperation. When I had to get tested for an unrelated issue, I insisted that the nurse take my sugar every two hours. I had not eaten for 12 hours. Every time they tested, the numbers were higher. They were shock that it went over 300. I wrote a report to the hospital, and I saw a change in their diet for diabetes, within three years of being admitted again. I experience the Somogyi or rebound effect. I am happy to be a part of this forum.
